first_imgAgents will now have the option of sending their clients on Inspiring Journeys into New Zealand after the tour operator announced it has added New Zealand to its 2012/13 brochures.Launching online yesterday and expected to arrive in stores next week, next year’s offerings will include three new options to travel around New Zealand including a six day ‘Endless Shore’ North Island escape, eight day Southern Drift program as well as a full North and South Island 13 day itinerary, ‘The Long White Cloud’. Speaking to e-Travel Blackboard yesterday Inspiring Journeys managing director Tammy Marshall explained the extension into New Zealand came as a result of feedback which found the neighbouring country quite popular amongst Aussies. She said the New Zealand itineraries will be based on the tour operator’s pillars; eco, nature and experiential as well as bring in aspects of the Maori culture.“Key for us is choice, we try to allow the travellers to customise their experience on any day that we can so they can have their any choice of activities to choose from,” Ms Marshall said.Despite still undergoing recovery from the quake earlier this year, Ms Marshall noted that Christchurch would play a role in the new itineraries, with guests staying on the outskirts of the city for one night.“Christchurch will be rebuilding itself over time,” she said. “Where we stay on the outskirts is a garden type of area so it is safe and outside the CBD area so we are still supporting New Zealand by using Christchurch as a gateway.”As well as the new New Zealand additions, Ms Marshall said the new brochures would see an extra South Australia option that will offer “diverse outback experience as well as a trip through the wineries”.The company’s head also told e-Travel Blackboard the company was looking to move its offering to more of an international market over the coming years.
