Both were dealt tough losses in the quarterfinals. Both went on to win three more matches to place third, collecting pins and scoring points along the way. Union finished with 135 points, 21 ahead of second-place White River.“It’s just amazing because a loss is hard to take, especially at state,” Warren said. “But we’re just so close as a team, we boost each other up.”Though the team was already celebrating the school’s first wrestling team title, boys or girls, Warren and Helm each capped their senior years with title.“I knew that if I won too, I would be the best day ever,” Warren said.
