This year there is no reason to travel elsewhere to see fireworks. The City of Apopka has invited everyone to celebrate the Fourth of July at the Apopka Amphitheater.The Northwest Recreation Complex will be the location of one of Central Florida’s largest fireworks shows. There will also be kids games and rides, food and a 1980’s themed concerts with Tommy Tutone, Skin Deep and A Brilliant Lie.Bring the family for a patriotic evening of fun and entertainment. No outside food, drinks or coolers please.This is a Free Event.Here is the entertainment schedule for Apopka’s big Fourth of July Celebration at the Amphitheater:• 5:00 pm to 5:55 pm – A Brilliant Lie (55 Minute Set)• 6:15 pm to 7:10 pm – Skin Deep (50 Minute Set)• 7:10 pm – Mayor Welcome/Intro Band• 7:15 pm to 8:05 pm – Tommy Tutone (50 Minute Set)• 8:15 pm to 9:00 pm – Skin Deep (45 Minute Set)• 9:00 pm – Fireworks No, dogs will not be allowed at the Apopka Fireworks at the Amphitheater. Anyway, this time it is very justified. Dogs freak out and can easily break away from you and you could lose your pet for good! Don’t even think about bringing them, even tiny ones hidden!!! Had them for hours and hours on end, the last two nights! Dogs scared stiff. They really hate those fireworks that whistle loudly, the worst! Had to snap my small dog’s life jacket on him, and make him a stress vest. Had a vibrating bed, as he trembled all night long, until early this morning.
