Cloughaneely Junior Band to lead Liverpool St Patrick’s Day Parade!

first_imgCloughaneely Junior Band is over the moon at the news that they have been selected to lead the Liverpool St Patrick’s Day Parade for 2018. The band are the reigning All-Ireland junior marching band champions, having secured the title at the Fleadh Ceoil in August.Angela Mc Carry told Donegal Daily that this is a huge honour, and that they are delighted to accept the invitation from the St Patrick’s Day parade committee. “Our band presentation was held last night and a huge thank you to all who attended and helped out in anyway to make our band presentation a success this year. Medals were presented to our All-Ireland Champions and the Jim Barrett Memorial Cup was awarded to Emma Cannon, Ailish McFadden and Shannon Quinn for full attendance at band practice throughout the year.“We are extremely proud of all our band members and we are delighted to share the news that our All-Ireland champions have been invited to take part in the St.Patricks day parade in Liverpool next year.“This is an incredible honour and it has been confirmed that Cloughaneely Band is leading the parade in recognition of their achievement of winning the All-Ireland three years in row. “Band members will rehearse extra hard and work towards another exciting year of outings, parades and competitions.
