The group opened with “Picture in Picture” from 2014’s Never Odd or Even, and never let up from there. “Mucho” and “Vol. 03 #86” provided the jam vehicles for evening, while Radiohead‘s “The National Anthem” made an appearance, and the band’s tongue-in-cheek version of Britney Spears‘ “Toxic” brought the first night to a close.Night two, 7/29, boasted a monster “Nerds,” along with an off-the-wall, over 18-minute “Bahbi” (from 2012’s Drawn Onward). “Freight Trains Filled with Dynamite” featured an appearance from John Coleman on bass, and the encore featured yet another nostalgic pop cover, but this time they group channeled their 90’s angst with Alanis Morissette‘s “You Oughta Know.” Take a listen to both shows, and check out som pro-shot video of the 7/28/17 below, all courtesy of MK DEVO:last_img read more


first_imgDonegal Action For Cancer Care says it is taking nothing for granted after yesterday’s meeting with Department of Health officials.Cancer campaigner Betty HolmesOfficials agreed to appoint another general surgeon to Letterkenny General Hospital as well as appointing to GPs in a supportive role.DACC say the meeting at the Dept. of Health in Dublin with key stakeholders, Donegal TD’s, Co-operating for Cancer Care North West and Donegal Action for Cancer was a good day for Donegal. “This meeting was requested by DACC and it was great to have that acknowledged at the start of the meeting as DACC have worked so hard regarding these key issues” said Betty Holmes.“To sit at a table with 28 people all in different roles was quiet an experience as the meeting was so well chaired with everyone given time to speak, be heard and answered in a very respectful manner, was quiet unusual.”DACC have already their request into Minister for Health Leo Varadkar T.D with the following:*We are asking that the agreed commitments, actions & time frames be put to us in a letter please. *We are asking also that our questions which we have submitted are also answered please as some were not covered on Friday.*We are asking that a date now be set for a follow up meeting in the same format with the same participants for mid-May no later, propose Friday 15th or 22nd May in Dublin.* This is vital to ensure that the commitments given are in fact being followed up as agreed.*Minister we are asking please if you can be in attendance at the next meeting.“DACC would like to say a very big thank to Eamonn & The Good & New Cancer Charity for providing DACC with transport & a great careful driver Peter Bradley who took good care of us. “And to you the people of Donegal for all the messages of support it meant so much & helped us keep going.
